Visions technology allows us to install directly on your local server. If you already have server hardware, it is often the best way to install on your existing network and save money from purchasing hardware. A dedicated server is always recommended, not a peer-to-peer network.
We can install on Windows, Linux, Mac OS X servers. If you have a Windows server, then you will need a VPN (virtual private network) connection to connect securely to a remote location outside of your building.
As a general rule, local servers often provide faster performance as you are eliminating the bandwidth to connect over the internet. However, hosted servers provide easier connectivity at much less expense.
